Sri K. HARIDASJI
Chief Acharya
Haridasji Institute of Narayaneeyam Studies and Research Center (HINSRC)
Thiruvananthapuram
For the devotees of Thiruvananthapuram, Sri Haridasji has conducted numerous classes on topics such as Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavatam, Narayaneeyam, Ramayana, Upanishads, and Sanskrit grammar, spreading spiritual knowledge in Ashrams, temples, and household gatherings for the past 34 years. By teaching the devotees and empowering them to teach others, he has been leading a spiritual revolution in Thiruvananthapuram.
As a result, there are now over a hundred centers in the city conducting spiritual classes.
From 2013 to 2015, Sri Haridasji conducted three 60-day Narayaneeyam Yajnas,
which greatly expanded the promotion of Narayaneeyam. As a result, more than ten thousand people in Thiruvananthapuram alone came into the fold of Narayaneeyam studies. Today, both online and in person, more than 50,000 students are following the curriculum designed by Haridasji's institute to learn Narayaneeyam, Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita, Sanskrit, and the Upanishads.
Born on October 31, 1932, in Kuthannur, Palakkad, to the late C. Shivaraman Nair and K. Kuttiyamma,
Haridasji retired as a Welfare Officer from the Chief Postmaster General's office in Thiruvananthapuram in 1990.
He is married to Smt. Shanthadas, and they have children: Sri. A. Vasudevan, Sri. A. Shivaraman Nair, and
Smt. A. Hima Somasekharan Nair.
Haridasji was inspired by his mother to step into the spiritual realm at the age of 10 through Adhyatma Ramayana. He became deeply influenced by Swami Chinmayananda's Bhagavad Gita discourses and participated in numerous Gita and Upanishad Jnana Yajnas. In 1986, he participated in a 45-day complete Bhagavad Gita Jnana Yajna conducted by Swami Chinmayananda at the Siddhbari Ashram in Himachal Pradesh.
Haridasji attributes his clear understanding of the Supreme Consciousness to the discourses and spiritual teachings of
Prof. G. Balakrishnan Nair. He was further inspired by the teachings of Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, and, with a spirit of service, started a Gita class for devotees in Bombay in 1987. Since 1991, he has been conducting classes in various Ashrams, temples, and homes in Thiruvananthapuram. The widespread popularity of Narayaneeyam in the city today can be attributed to Haridasji’s teachings.
Haridasji has authored several spiritual texts, including:
On July 3, 2023, on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, the Haridasji Institute of Narayaneeyam Studies and Research Center (HINSRC) was inaugurated in honor of Sri Haridasji's lifelong service and devotion to the spread of Narayaneeyam knowledge.
